Safeguarding

Promoting a Safer Church

EABC believes everyone has a responsibility to:

  • Make our church a safe place, and
  • To promote the welfare of all children, young people and vulnerable adults to keep them safe, and
  • To practice in a way that protects them.

EABC has adopted the Baptist Union Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practices on safeguarding.

EABC trustees and leaders have undergone all mandatory safeguarding training conducted by the Baptist Union of GB, and have been DBS-checked.

Planning your Visit

Hello And A Warm Welcome

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service. When you arrive, you will be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service ends. It is a great way to meet and get to know people and learn about our Church life, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10:30am with a warm welcome from one of our team members.

What about my children?

Currently, children stay with their parent or grown-up throughout the Sunday service. We really value worshipping God all together as a family.  Children are engaged in the service where they can hear and learn teachings based on Bible stories; followed by children worship song. But, we are always prepared and aim at having a Sunday school and Bible teaching for children when they turn up in higher numbers with their families on any Sunday.
